Less than 50% of all orphans in Russia will live to see their 20th birthday. Suicides, failures to thrive, severe medical conditions - untreated due to strained budgets or access to medical treatment - and a host of other problems have made for a very fragile existence. For those that live, earning a living to support their own families proved very difficult. This story is about the journey, and how it changed one person’s priorities from “bottom lines” to “lifelines.”
